welcome to go garden route and klein karoo :: skydive plett
Skydive Plett
BRIEFING :: After signup you will meet your tandem master. There will be a short briefing, then you will be kitted up. Your harness is fully adjustable and has four attachment points. That's it, you're ready to go! Sit back, relax and take in the view on a 20 minute flight to altitude, during which you can enjoy spectacular views of the Plettenberg Bay coastline and Robberg peninsular.
In season whales and dolphins can often be seen!
THE JUMP :: Before reaching altitude your tandem master will connect you to his harness using the four attachment points. Exit the plane together and feel the unique rush of freefall at 220kph for 35-40 seconds, before the parachute opens.
THE FLIGHT :: View the beautiful surroundings suspended under the parachute while your instructor steers you safely back to earth, or steer yourself if you want to have a go!
ABOUT US ::Skydive Plett has been operating in South Africa since 2002 and is now one of the busiest drop zones in the country. Depending on the weather, we may jump all day, every day.
We are situated on the coastline in the heart of the beautiful Garden Route, at the very bottom of the African continent.
From a skydiving point of view, you can't get a better location: the scenery is completely mind-blowing. Just one added bonus is that Plett is home to hundreds of dolphins and is an active breeding ground for whales between May and October every year.
As a skydiving operation dependent on burning fossil fuels we consider it our duty to offset our carbon emissions. To this end we have been working with the ORCA Foundation on the project "Planet Green Ocean Blue". Our carbon footprint has been measured and we have been advised on how many trees we need to plant to offset emissions. Skydive Plett has planted 52 trees to date.
