Birds of Eden
The Garden Route's very own world-class free-flight bird sanctuary. The unique 2.3 hectare mesh dome (the World's largest) spans over a gorge of indigenous forest. Inside the sanctuary are 1.2kms of walkways.
There's also a mysterious ruin, river, walk-about waterfall, dams, 200 seater amphitheatre, restaurant, wine bar and canopy walk. The dome synthesises thunder and creates short spells of rain. And like Monkeyland, Birds of Eden will be releasing previously caged animals into a free and natural environment so that visitors can view birds as they should be seen - in the wild.
